Civil Wedding in Tuscany

We have contacts with local authorities and offer assistance and guide you through the official documentation. Upon confirmation we will provide you with the list of all the documents required by the local Registrar.

The Town Hall must be booked in advance. The minimum stay required is usually 3 or 4 days before the marriage can take place. Civil weddings take place in town halls and the ceremony is performed by the Mayor or Vice Mayor.The service lasts about 20 minutes and is performed in Italian, we will provide you with an an official interpreter. After the civil vows are read, the couple and witnesses sign the wedding act and then receive their wedding certificate.

The Town Halls of Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Certaldo etc... require a registry fee. These Town Halls are ancient historic palazzos with original frescoes and furnished with charming antiques.
