A symbolic wedding is a non civil and non religious ceremony performed by an officiant or you may choose a family member or friend to conduct the ceremony of your creation.
This type of wedding can take place anywhere, in the fields of the Chianti, in Italian gardens of historical villas and medieval castles, in intimate garden of private villa or farmhouses, etc. No paperwork, witness or translator are required.
It is important to note the couple must have a civil ceremony before or after the symbolic wedding in order to have their marriage recognized by the proper government authorities.
If your choice is a blessing, then this can be celebrated by a Catholic priest in chapels or in any other location. There are no limitations as blessings have no legal value and any documents are required or issued by legal authorities.
